Employment – Governance Advisor

Naut’sa mawt Tribal Council (NmTC) is seeking a Governance Advisor to deliver governance advisory services to our 11 Coast Salish member Nations.

Working in the Salish Sea region, services that the incumbent may be expected to provide includes:
Governance service delivery framework: menu of resources/ services development;
Community engagement and strategic governance service delivery;
Capacity enhancement workshops: research, development and delivery;
Governance tools: research, development and implementation; and
Strategic Planning on program delivery, future projects and funding applications.

The successful candidate will have:
A minimum of 10 year’s experience in research, policy development and project management working with a First Nation organization.
Appropriate formal education.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Facilitation skills.
A willingness to travel to NmTC communities.
The personal qualities of being a confident, self-starter who is adaptable, willing to learn, resourceful, and committed to relationship building and teamwork.

NmTC offers a competitive salary based on experience along with an attractive benefits package.
• Priority consideration will be given to Coast Salish First Nations applicants.
• Position location: Lower Mainland/Southern Vancouver Island
